My sweet friend Kim DeMoss and I were chatting recently about all the great things going on with Project Mindful Movement when we discovered the next topic for my Podcast. As Kim felt pulled in different directions and not sure if it was all feeling how she wanted it to feel.

In today’s Happy Hour Podcast show, my good friend Stefanie and I talked about the different approaches to viewing parenting as a mother. One type of mother will celebrate and connect with other mothers, regardless if their parenting styles match.
Accumulatively it has been over 10 years of hosting retreats for me. From corporate retreats to personal wellness to couples retreats. I can remember my very first retreat I did without the corporate backing or partner influence and let me tell you- it was scary as sh&t.
The other day I was getting my butt kicked by Ally Love on my Peloton app. While she was whooping us, Ally talked about the difference between ‘want’ and ‘need.’
Back in my corporate days (err a long time ago), one of the things I did was host occasional corporate leadership retreats and absolutely loved it. Then, after I left corporate I dilly dallied in some amazing things and then I hosted my first wellness retreat about 7+ years or so ago.
The U.S. is a sleepless nation: one in four Americans develop insomnia every year. And while 75% of people recover from it fairly quickly, it can be frustrating to go night after night tossing and turning, unable to get quality sleep.
There is an epidemic (trend?) of feeling sick. This is in no way saying that there aren’t terrible illnesses and tragedies in the world- only that there is a significant increase in those of us feeling ‘sick’ and sadly- more women are being affected than men (or at least reported).
It has been over a month since I took my very own retreat trip with Stoked Yogi. I host retreats myself so it is such a treat for me to take a retreat trip. Not only can I dig into my own stuff, but I can also understand what it is like for a guest – it’s a great opportunity all the way around.
