You take the weekend off. You sleep in, skip the group chat, maybe even get a pedicure. And Monday still hits like a truck. If you’ve ever thought “I don’t know what I need, but it’s more than a break,” you’re not broken and you’re not alone. That vague, bone-deep tired that a nap can’t touch is exactly why women’s stress reduction retreats exist, and exactly why we built the Wine & Unwind Retreat the way we did.
This retreat for burned out women isn’t a spa day with better branding. It’s five full days designed to reach the kind of tired that lives underneath the tired you can explain. Our next round is September 30 through October 4 at the ranch in Marble Falls, Texas, and here’s exactly what it looks like.
That Feeling When a Weekend Off Doesn’t Fix Anything
You’ve tried the easy fixes. A bath. An early bedtime. A day where you finally get to the couch and stay there. They help for about six hours, and then the same heaviness settles back in, because a day off doesn’t undo months (or years) of running on empty.
This is the gap between rest and restoration. Rest is a nap. Restoration is what happens when your nervous system actually gets the message that it’s safe to power down, and that takes more than a Saturday. It takes distance from your regular life, people who understand exactly what you’re carrying, and enough time for your shoulders to actually drop away from your ears.
What “More Than a Break” Actually Means
A women’s stress reduction retreat for burnout isn’t about adding one more wellness activity to your already packed calendar. It’s about removing everything else for a few days so your body and mind can finally catch up to each other.
That means no cooking, no calendar to manage, no one asking where their socks are. It means yoga you can actually enjoy instead of squeezing into a lunch break, wine poured by someone else, and evenings around a bonfire with women who get exactly what “running on empty” feels like because they’re living it too. This is the version of rest that reduces stress at the source instead of just muting it for an afternoon.
Inside the Wine & Unwind Retreat, September 30 to October 4
Wine & Unwind happens on 46 private acres in the Texas Hill Country, and the whole property is reserved just for our group. No hotel lobbies, no strangers in the hallway, nothing to perform for anyone.
Five days includes daily yoga (including aerial yoga and horse yoga), a stress reduction workshop with tools you’ll actually use months later, sound baths, a candle making workshop, sauna and ice bath access, nightly bonfires, and wine tastings each evening with non-alcoholic options always on hand. Brunch and dinner are handled every single day. Your only real decision each morning is which session to start with.
Spots are capped at around 20 women, and about half of our guests arrive solo. You won’t eat a meal alone or feel out of place for a single moment.
What Five Days at the Ranch Actually Looks Like
You arrive Wednesday afternoon and check in with no schedule pressing on you yet. That evening opens with a Wine & Unwind hour and a PJ’s and Prosecco welcome reception, an easy way to settle into the group before the first bonfire dinner under the stars.
The days that follow move at a pace you get to choose. Mornings offer yoga, breathwork, or journaling. Afternoons are wide open for trail rides, a pottery experience, skeet shooting, or simply doing nothing on a hammock, which is a completely valid way to spend your time here. Evenings close with wine, good food, and a bonfire that somehow always turns into the kind of conversation you didn’t know you needed.
By Sunday, after a closing sound bath and a champagne brunch, most women say the same thing: something shifted, and they can actually feel the difference in their body, not just hear themselves say it.

Your Questions About Wine & Unwind, Answered
FAQ’s for Women’s Wine & Unwind Retreat
Can I come by myself?
Yes, and about half of our guests do exactly that. You’re welcomed in from the moment you arrive, and by day two you won’t feel like you came alone at all.
Do I need yoga experience to join?
Not at all. Every session meets you where you are, whether this is your first time on a mat or your five-hundredth. No performance, no comparison, just movement that feels good in your body.
What if I don’t drink wine?
That’s completely fine. Non-alcoholic options are available at every Wine & Unwind hour, and plenty of women skip the wine entirely and just show up for the appetizers and conversation.
Is this retreat spiritual or more practical?
It’s grounded and practical. The stress reduction tools are based on a therapeutic background, not spiritual practice, so you won’t be asked to do anything that doesn’t resonate with you.
Ready to Give Yourself More Than a Break?

You don’t need to know exactly what you need. You just need five days, 46 acres, and permission to finally put it all down.
