In May I revisited the Champagne region, walking château hallways, tasting things I probably shouldn’t have tasted before noon, and locking in every last detail for our next group of women. If you’ve been eyeing our women’s stress reduction retreats and wondering what actually happens behind the scenes before a group lands in France, buckle up. This is the inside look.
I built this trip for a very specific kind of woman. The one who is stretched in six directions before 8am. The one who used to recognize herself in the mirror and now mostly recognizes her calendar. If you’re a woman who feels burned out, overextended, and frankly desperate for a version of life that includes joy again, this retreat for burned out women was built with you in mind, and this week two group is filling up fast.
Here’s everything I saw, tasted, and confirmed while I was there, plus exactly where things stand with booking.
Why I Flew to France Before Sending You
I don’t book a venue off a website. I show up, I walk the property, I sit in the rooms, I ask the vendors the annoying questions nobody wants to answer over email. This trip was about making sure every detail of our women’s stress reduction retreat for burnout in France holds up in real life, not just in photos.
I checked the walk from each room to the dining hall. I sat in the exact chairs you’ll sit in. I confirmed the yoga space actually catches the morning light the way I remembered it would. Little things, but they’re the difference between a retreat that looks beautiful online and one that actually feels restorative once you’re standing in it.
Walking the Grounds of a 12th-Century Château
The château itself is the kind of place that makes you slow your breathing without trying. Twelfth-century stone walls, sweeping countryside views, and enough history in the floorboards that you half expect to run into a ghost with excellent taste in wine.
I spent an afternoon just wandering. The library. The sitting rooms. The gardens where we’ll gather for our welcome reception. I wanted to know exactly where the golden hour light hits for photos, where the quiet corners are for anyone who needs five minutes alone, and where the group will naturally gather when the wine comes out (spoiler: everywhere).
This isn’t a hotel. It’s a home that happens to be a few hundred years old, and it holds space beautifully for a group of women who are finally ready to exhale.
The Family-Run Champagne House That Stole My Heart
Of everything I confirmed this week, the vendor visits were my favorite part. We toured a few of the bigger, well-known Champagne houses, and they’re stunning. But the moment that got me was sitting at a small, family-run estate, hearing the current generation talk about the vines their grandparents planted.
There’s a version of hospitality that only exists when a business has stayed in one family for decades. They poured us glasses we hadn’t planned to try, told us stories that will never make it into any brochure, and reminded me why I built this retreat in the first place. Connection. Real, unhurried, human connection, the kind that’s nearly impossible to find in regular life but shows up easily around a table in the French countryside.
Your week two group will visit this same estate. You’ll meet the families. You’ll taste the Champagnes straight from the source. It’s one of those experiences you can’t manufacture, only find.
Week One Sold Out. Here’s Where Week Two Stands.
I’ll be upfront with you; week one filled completely, and the waitlist for it is already growing. Week two still has rooms open, but spots are going quickly now that word is getting around about what this retreat actually includes.
Right now, you can reserve your spot with just 25% down, with the remaining balance set up on a payment plan. That deposit requirement moves up to 50% down starting November, so if you’ve been sitting on the fence about joining us for this women’s stress reduction retreat, now is the moment to stop thinking about it and start packing for it.
I’m not going to pressure you into anything. I built this trip because I believe in it, and I want the women who are meant to be there to actually make it there. Consider this your heads up: the easier booking terms won’t last much longer.
Your Questions About Week Two, Answered
What’s actually included in the price?
Your stay covers five nights at the château, daily morning yoga, Champagne house tours and tastings, gourmet French meals, guided visits to Épernay, Hautvillers, and Reims, and both an opening and closing circle. Airfare, transfers, and a couple of lunches are on your own, but everything else is handled.
Do I need to be experienced at yoga to come?
Not even a little. Every session is designed for all levels, from women who’ve never rolled out a mat to women who’ve been practicing for years. Nobody is keeping score.
Can I come by myself?
Absolutely, and at least half of the women do. You’ll leave with new friends, not just a passport stamp. We’re happy to help pair roommates if you’d like company in your room.
What’s the deposit and payment structure right now?
A 25% deposit currently holds your spot, with the rest set up on a payment plan leading up to the retreat. That deposit amount increases to 50% down starting in November so booking now locks in the lower entry point.
How many women will be on this retreat?
We keep the group intentionally small, capped at around 20 to 22 women, so the experience stays personal instead of feeling like a tour group being shuffled from stop to stop.
Ready to Claim Your Spot in France?
Week one is gone. Week two is going. If you’ve been waiting for a sign to finally book something for yourself, this is it. Head over to the France retreat page to see room options, dates, and full pricing, and lock in your spot with the 25% deposit while it’s still available.
You’ve spent enough time pouring into everyone else. Come sit in a château, drink good Champagne, and remember what it feels like to be a person instead of a to-do list.
