As women, we were raised with the idea that putting ourselves first is selfish.
And now that we are adults and mothers, we tend to help and support others but don’t really make time to take care of ourselves and engage in activities that enrich us. We place everyone else’s needs before our own and it is causing us strain. As the old saying goes “You have to put your own oxygen mask first before you put someone else’s on.” So true but also so hard to do!
In today’s episode, my good friends Stefanie, Angie and I talk all about self-care – how to start cultivating the routine, incorporating it in your life, tips on building long term habits, and why us women should stop apologizing for taking care of ourselves. We also share our own experiences going from zero self-care to it being a regular part of our lives.
If you are struggling and want to learn how you can begin building lifelong self-care habits, then this episode is for you!
