Hot Yoga is an in-studio class where vigorous yoga is performed in a very hot and sometimes humid setting. The studio’s temperature is deliberately kept high for the duration of the class.

Who is a Yoga Teacher? First let me say a yoga teacher is not just someone who teaches great asanas. Borrowing from Indeed, a teacher is defined as a professional who shares their knowledge on a particular topic or set of topics with a group of students in hopes of advancing their knowledge.
Recently, I was asked by someone if online yoga teacher training is legit. Of course, I gave a resounding yes! You may be wondering if I was offended by the bluntness of the question, the truth is I wasn’t.
Accumulatively it has been over 10 years of hosting retreats for me. From corporate retreats to personal wellness to couples retreats. I can remember my very first retreat I did without the corporate backing or partner influence and let me tell you- it was scary as sh&t.
It has been over a month since I took my very own retreat trip with Stoked Yogi. I host retreats myself so it is such a treat for me to take a retreat trip. Not only can I dig into my own stuff, but I can also understand what it is like for a guest – it’s a great opportunity all the way around.
Bills. Work. Family. Social obligations. It can all get to be too much sometimes. Wouldn’t it be nice to escape it all and recharge – a getaway that has nothing to do with work, a family visit, or a wedding?
You have signed up for a yoga retreat (or are considering it) and now you don’t know exactly what to bring? Let my years of hosting (and attending) retreats help you forgo the mistakes of over or under packing!
