Staying hydrated is essential to living a healthy lifestyle. Hydration is responsible for many vital functions, including regulating our body temperature, maintaining a healthy weight, and keeping organs functioning properly. Staying well-hydrated can also help increase our sleep quality, heighten our mood, and boost cognitive retention.
Why IV Hydration?
I have wrote about my own experience with IV therapy, though I have not taken part in one that provides in home service such as ivee. With my own treatment, I have learned that hydration is especially crucial in preventing illness and hangovers (can we say relevant right now?). Staying hydrated during flu season can help you fight off off sickness and boost immunity. Making sure to load up on fluids before going out for a long night of drinking with friends can also eliminate the possibility of feeling sick the next morning.
But nobody’s perfect, and more often than not, we don’t take the preventive steps to avoid feeling less than our best. Luckily, modern medicine has come to the rescue yet again! You no longer have to leave your home to get your necessary wellness boost – those fancy IV treatment centers that I have been going to can now be at your doorstep in minutes.
How does it work?
Like treatment centers in casinos and at festivals, IV hydration at home brings registered nurses to you. IV therapy delivers vitamins and minerals to your body, bringing you back to tip-top shape. The only difference is the treatment center is now your living room!
Does it hurt?
IV treatment is relatively painless. You may feel a slight pinch or poke when the nurse first inserts your IV, but the pain is exceptionally dull and only lasts for a second or so. Highly-skilled nurses make the insertion as quick and painless as possible.
How long will it take?
Usually, IV treatment can take anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes. A nurse will remain by your side until your treatment is complete, but the short wait time outweighs the day-long hangover or impending flu or cold. It’ll get you back to what you need to do.
How much space will it take up?
At-home IV treatment is both minimal and efficient. Pick out the comfiest chair in the house and let your nurse set up the equipment around you! You won’t have to rearrange your furniture—all you need is a bit of space for an IV pole.
Can I get treatment with another person?
Yes. Nurses can manage multiple individuals at once, so get your friends together to drip (assuming you are able based on quarantine and stay at home orders)!
Why leave your home when you’re feeling low? IV hydration at home brings you back to ultimate wellness – no matter the time, situation, or place.
