I have never been more grateful to have so much ranch work that I literally do not have time to scroll social or watch the news (it isn’t something I do anymore anyhow, but the work is so damn good for the soul I don’t desire to either).
But I hear stuff anyhow. And after spending a weekend with incredible spirits who gifted their time at the ranch in karma yoga service, I felt constantly reminded of the quote from Mother Teresa.
If you want to change the world, go home and love your family.
Somehow we all got a little sideways on looking at the splinter in others eyes, while ignoring the stick in our own.
Or better, we are forgetting to view all humans with a compassionate loving heart knowing we are all just doing our best.
No judgments here. I am in this journey with you. Just wanted to remind us both that only with love can we find the peace we are all striving for. And that love starts first with ourselves.
My own quote I strive to live by:
The best gift I can give the world is the gift of self-love.
Because when we are full of love for ourselves, it is damn near difficult to throw hate to someone else.
So…I love me. And I love you too.
PS- if you are interested in the next Karma Yoga service weekend happening in January, let me know!
