H-E-L-L-O my lovies! I hope you’ve been doing great and, in some cases, keeping warm and/or dry! I’m super excited about today’s topic because it all ties into my life’s, actually my family’s, work. I’m going to breakdown why you need to book a glamping vacation in 2023. Grab some green tea (or tequila!) and let’s dive in, shall we?
What Do You Do on A Glamping Vacation?
“Glamping is where incredible nature meets modern luxury.”
In case you didn’t already know, my family and I run Retreat Ranch in Marble Falls, Texas. Our goal was to create a space where people from around the world could escape and explore nature in a natural but also luxurious way.
I’m not gonna lie, I’m a gal that likes her creature comforts, so while I love to camp, I prefer to glamp. Why the distinction? Well, the thing about glamping is that it allows you to explore unique parts of the world without sacrificing most, if not all, of the modern luxuries we’ve come to love. There’s air-conditioning, there’s a comfy space to sleep on the softest bedding, and some even come with private bathrooms (the rest share…real bathrooms…not outhouses). Peeing in a bush, where?! Gotta at least love that part!
Why has the Glamping Community Grown?
I’m sure you may have observed that glamping has significantly grown as a means of luxury travel vacations. The reason for this is pretty damn simple, the travel industry has become more dynamic. Meaning, we’ve moved away from the generic one package fits all vacation deal. People are looking to truly connect and make worthwhile memories on holiday, be it in nature, with food, or meeting new people.
Also, glamping vacations have the luxury of offering different options that cater to whatever activities you need to restore your soul. At the Retreat Ranch for instance, we focus on hosting yoga retreats – for couples, yoga teacher trainees, family events and solo travelers. We also offer unique stays, events and micro wedding options- all with the ability to include extra fun like horseback riding, special workshops and animal experiences.
In the same vein, my friends in the glamping industry specialize in different things! Some focus on nature spotting, some focus on water activities, like rafting, fishing, and kayaking. And you know what’s perfect? You get to do this all while staying in luxury ‘camping’ or unique accommodations. To me, there is nothing better!
A Glamping Vacation is More Than a Nice Tent
A lot of newbies expect a glamping trip to just be about enjoying an upgraded tent. It’s so much more than that. When you glamp, you get to immerse yourself in nature and activities on your terms. It is,
“A fusion of glamor and camping, glamping creates an authentic experience where you can enjoy the most awe-inspiring locations around the world!”
There are so many types of accommodations that will suit your need at any level of preferred comfort. You’ve got tiny houses, luxury yurts with air conditioning, ecolodges, canopy tree huts that overlook rainforests. For instance, we even offer container villa suites and retrofitted camper trailers that overlook the Texas wilderness. Glamping destinations are wherever and whatever you want to explore.
Glamping Destinations and the Mind Body and Soul
Come on guys, you know I had to bring it back home to the mind, body, and soul! That’s what we’re all about celebrating and honoring in this little pocket of the internet. When you glamp, you have this special opportunity to connect with nature and this restores your inner energy- something so badly needed in today’s hectic fast paced living. Your body WILL feel better by connecting with nature because as much as we like to pretend that we’re different, my friend, we are all animals and need nature to reset and rejuvenate fully. *Roars! *
Here at Retreat Ranch, my family and team have worked extremely hard to create a comfortable escape from the chaos of the world. We see the value in nature, we praise it, and we create the space for fellow humans to enjoy it. It’s the perfect opportunity to reflect and reconnect with yourself in luxury AND nature. Ain’t that the perfect combo?
