Coming out to your parents: a perspective from a mother and a daughter
Children coming out to parents about being gay isn’t always an easy thing. Even if the child’s home is an open and accepting space- it can be incredibly difficult.
Our very special guest is my 18-year-old daughter Nyla. She will be sharing her experience with you on how it was for her to come out to us, her parents, as well as to other family members and friends. She also shares her journey from her first awareness, to now that she’s living with her girlfriend.
If you are a parent, Nyla also shares her thoughts on how to approach talking to children about the topic. It’s a super informative episode that will touch and open your minds and hearts.
