In my podcast, that I co-host with Dee, our goal is to show up in our most authentic selves and do the tough work of choosing love over fear. In a recent episode, I point out that we need to set better boundaries with our family, friends, acquaintances and whomever else we interact with in order to have the right energy alignment. I emphasize the importance of protecting your energy for several reasons; good energy means good health, and good alignment which aids in the achievements of goals.
Dee calls all these boundaries with everyone we interact with temporary because we don’t know what’s going to happen in the future with them or their perspective, energy or outlook; if it shifts then your boundaries shift along with them. Moreover, she thinks a lot of people are easily influenced by others energetically and puts them in three levels: the first level is where you are a passive participant and you don’t even realize how influenced you are probably because you’re not even aware of your energy. The next level- and where she places herself and I- is where, through some meditation or sort of practice, you have an awareness of your energy and consequently how easily you are influenced. I also list a couple of ways to change our interactions and boundaries with the people all around us so as to ensure effective communication with each other such as flipping the script with someone when their bad vibe is stinking up your good vibe.
